Candeur Malagasy

Our story

Nosy Be,

I’m Brenda. I grew up and studied in Nosy Be. Through Candeur Malagasy, I share my island through its scents.

01

My first steps,
with a candle.

After my studies, I began with candles: beeswax from Nosy Be, coconut oil and Bourbon vanilla. With each experiment, I adjusted my recipes before making my first small batches.

The pod remains my starting point: an intense, warm, woody scent that gives Candeur creations their vanilla character.

02

My ingredients,
my island, my creations.

Vanilla, coconut, beeswax: these ingredients guide my creations. I choose resources from the island when they suit the recipe, and other ingredients, such as jojoba, depending on the product.

Today, my shop in Madirokely brings together my scented creations, vanilla pods and Malagasy spices for cooking. Candles, where Candeur Malagasy began, are coming soon.
