A pod, a family story
Why vanilla pods belong in my shop

I already work with vanilla in my creations. At the Nosy Be shop, I also offer pods to smell, split open and cook with. This choice is connected to my family, as my mother produces vanilla near Sambava.
Vanilla from my family’s region
My family comes from the Sambava area in SAVA, northeastern Madagascar. This connection leads me to follow the pod’s journey: its origin, preparation, scent and uses.
Before offering a lot, I look into its origin and how it was prepared. In My journey to Antalaha and Sambava, I describe this search and selection, then present the results of the PRULAB report issued in Sambava.
The pod as a starting point
Candles opened the way and are coming to the shop soon. Today I offer massage oil, shower gel, shampoo, cream and ylang-ylang soap without vanilla. Soap combining ylang-ylang and vanilla remains a project. Each product page presents the highlighted ingredients.
I compare the scent, flexibility and preparation of the pods. In the shop, I can show you my selection and the results of its analysis.
Smell the pod, then choose how to use it
At my Candeur Malagasy shop, smell the vanilla, choose your pods and take them home to cook. I enjoy connecting a material, its scent and your recipes.
Madagascar peppers, cinnamon, cloves and turmeric: their scents also invite you to imagine your next dish.
The pod brings together my family, my work and the people I meet in Nosy Be. It makes me want to learn so I can better tell you about what you take home.
I also tell the twenty-four-hour journey that brought me to SAVA vanilla.
