When you open your pods for the first time.

Open the pack with clean, dry hands and utensils. Take what you need, then close it carefully.

After opening, put the pods in a clean, dry, tightly closed glass jar in a cupboard away from heat. Also follow the storage advice on the pack.

Storage time depends on how the pods were prepared, their moisture and storage conditions. The storage guide helps you choose a suitable container and place for your pods.

The pod has two parts to use.

  1. Split the pod. Lay it flat and open it lengthwise with a small knife.
  2. Scrape out the seeds. Use the back of the knife. Mix them with a little sugar or an ingredient from your recipe to distribute them better.
  3. Infuse the scraped pod too. In milk or cream, the seeds and scraped pod can work together. Remove the scraped pod before serving.

Bring out the scent with the right reuse step.

A freshly scraped pod that is still clean and has not been immersed in food can flavour milk for another preparation on the same day.

A pod soaked in milk, cream or sauce does not go back into the jar of pods or into sugar intended for the cupboard. Reuse depends on what it has already touched; appearing dry does not validate its storage safety.

Candeur packs are sold by weight: allow about 12 pods for 50 g. The number of pods in the pack depends on their weight.
